Giving Back

Our charity donations

This year, a portion of every sale goes directly to the causes behind our designs:

  • $1 from every embroidered bird design goes to BirdLife Australia, supporting their work protecting native birds across the country.
  • $1 from every embroidered animal t-shirt and beanie goes to Wildlife Rescue South Coast, who rescue and care for local wildlife right here on the Far South Coast.

It's a small amount on its own, but every piece sold adds up, and it means your purchase is doing a bit more than just looking good.

BirdLife Australia

BirdLife Australia is the country's largest bird conservation charity, working locally, nationally and globally to protect threatened birds and stop extinctions. Backed by hundreds of thousands of members, volunteers and supporters, they collaborate with scientists, landholders and communities to restore habitat and give Australia's birds, almost 1 in 6 of which are currently threatened with extinction, a fighting chance.

Wildlife Rescue South Coast

Wildlife Rescue South Coast has been rescuing and rehabilitating injured, sick and orphaned native wildlife across the NSW South Coast since the late 1980s, covering the region from Wollongong all the way down to the Victorian border. Their volunteers are on call day and night to respond to wildlife in need, working to release every animal they care for back into the wild.

We've seen their work firsthand. One night, we called them out to an injured ringtail possum that had been hit on the road, and it wasn't long before one of their volunteers arrived, gently checked the possum over and took it in for care. It's exactly the kind of quiet, dedicated work that happens every night across our region, and it's a big part of why we wanted to give back directly.

Made with care, sourced with intention

We try to support local where we can, and to know where our materials come from.

Every embroidered design is hand drawn, and embroidered right here in our studio in Tathra. Our beanies are knitted by a local knitting mill in the Yarra Valley, using Australian Merino wool sourced from farms across the country. Our t-shirts are made from Australian cotton, printed locally down the road in Pambula, or through our print partner in Brisbane. Our swim shorts are made from recycled polyester, giving new life to existing materials instead of using new ones. Our swing tags are printed in Melbourne.

We also lean on our own community where we can. From time to time, local hands help out with photography and sewing labels.

We're a small brand, and we won't pretend we've got it all figured out, but we're doing what we can to make sure your money goes back into the community, and into the causes and people who need it most.
