There's something so magical about snowflakes. Did you know that snowflakes cannot form without little particles of dust in the air?

Sarah has lived a good portion of her 20's in an eternal winter, hopping from northern to southern hemispheres chasing the legendary Japanese powder, and springy Aussie corn.

This design came about when she would wait for the late night bus in snowy Niseko, observing the huge snowflakes landing on her jacket sleeves and noticing that every single one looked different, and yet every single one has 6 prongs. Under a microscope these snowflakes become even more fascinating, and this embroidery is inspired by the imperfections of each tiny prong.

No snowflake is perfectly symmetrical and we wanted to break the tradition of boringly simple snowflake designs.

This 100% organic cotton ribbed beanie is stylish, practical, and eco-friendly, making it an absolute must-have for your hat selection. Thanks to its breathable lightweight fabric, you can wear it both indoors and outdoors.

Shipping

We offer free standard shipping for all orders over $150.00

Currently shipping only within Australia, and to the UK.

Every item is handmade to order. That includes being printed onto the fabric, cut out and sewn into your lovely new garment. Which means that it can take a couple days between ordering and it being shipped out to you.

We ship with DHL and Australia Post for addresses in Australia; and DHL and Royal Mail for UK addresses. We use their standard shipping rates.

Most of our items are handmade ethically in the US, so please allow extra time (+2 weeks) for them to arrive as they have to pass through customs in Australia first. For our UK customers, we have found that the shipping time is much less for these items.

Returns and Size Exchanges

As our garments are printed, cut and sewn to order when you buy from us, we don't accept returns simply for a change of mind...

However! We understand that if you have ordered the wrong size in one of our items and it simply does not fit - please contact us via email and we will arrange a new garment in the correct size to be made for an exchange.

If you notice that there is something wrong with your item when you receive it, please reach out as soon as possible as we will try our best to help.

We really want you to love your new activewear so fit is important! Check our size guides for more information on the fit.

I'm Sarah, the one who paints all the prints for Piste & Trail!
When I'm not the business owner of this fabulous little brand, I work at an award-winning oyster farm on the Far South Coast in which my prints are inspired.

In my former professional career, I was a qualified instructor for many different winter sports, including yoga. Before that, I graduated with a Masters in Design at the University of Brighton in the UK.

I love to explore the outdoors on foot, wheels, planks or boards and I have a special place in my heart for wildlife encounters, which is where the roots of Piste & Trail have grown from.
