Waiting intently for lorikeet feeding to start on a rainy day at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane... "we might not see many turn up today guys" the park ranger said as she prepared an oatmeal mix to pour into the plastic dishes that sat atop a wooden display log.
The second the oat mix hit the dish, seemingly out of nowhere - hundreds of rainbow coloured birds descended upon us! The scene was a mad frenzy of colourful flapping wings and delighted chirps and yells from frightened tourists as these beautiful birds swooped between us and landed on many heads looking for food.
This print is a burst of colour and we tried to capture the liveliness of the rainbow lorikeets as they search for food amongst their most loved flowers - various species of bottle brushes.

Shipping

We offer free standard shipping for all orders over $150.00

Currently shipping only within Australia, and to the UK.

Every item is handmade to order. That includes being printed onto the fabric, cut out and sewn into your lovely new garment. Which means that it can take a couple days between ordering and it being shipped out to you.

We ship with DHL and Australia Post for addresses in Australia; and DHL and Royal Mail for UK addresses. We use their standard shipping rates.

Most of our items are handmade ethically in the US, so please allow extra time (+2 weeks) for them to arrive as they have to pass through customs in Australia first. For our UK customers, we have found that the shipping time is much less for these items.

Returns and Size Exchanges

As our garments are printed, cut and sewn to order when you buy from us, we don't accept returns simply for a change of mind...

However! We understand that if you have ordered the wrong size in one of our items and it simply does not fit - please contact us via email and we will arrange a new garment in the correct size to be made for an exchange.

If you notice that there is something wrong with your item when you receive it, please reach out as soon as possible as we will try our best to help.

I'm Sarah, the one who paints all the prints for Piste & Trail!
When I'm not the business owner of this fabulous little brand, I work at an award-winning oyster farm on the Far South Coast in which my prints are inspired.

In my former professional career, I was a qualified instructor for many different winter sports, including yoga. Before that, I graduated with a Masters in Design at the University of Brighton in the UK.

I love to explore the outdoors on foot, wheels, planks or boards and I have a special place in my heart for wildlife encounters, which is where the roots of Piste & Trail have grown from.
